WEB The Boston Celtics Strike Again, Winning Game 3 of NBA Finals Against Dallas

A Hard-Fought Victory

In a nail-biting Game 3 of the 2024 NBA Finals, the WEB Boston Celtics held off a spirited comeback attempt from the Dallas Mavericks to win 106-98. The victory gives the Celtics a commanding 3-0 lead in the series.

Jayson Tatum and Jrue Holiday Lead the Charge

Celtics forward Jayson Tatum led the way with 30 points, while guard Jrue Holiday added 22. The Celtics also got key contributions from Al Horford and Robert Williams III, who combined for 20 rebounds and 6 blocks.

The Mavericks made a strong push in the second half, outscoring the Celtics 52-44. However, the Celtics held on to their lead, making clutch shots down the stretch, and forcing key turnovers by the Mavericks. Kyrie Irving led the Mavericks with 24 points. Luka Dončić struggled, scoring just 16 points on 5-of-18 shooting.

The Celtics will look to close out the series in Game 4 on June 8. The Mavericks, meanwhile, will need to find a way to turn things around. If they can't win the next game, their chances of winning the series will be significantly diminished.
